What is QuickTimeCheck.ocx?

QuickTimeCheck Scriptable Object is an activex control used by Apple's Quicktime image and video suite. QuickTimeCheck is used to determine if Quick Time is currently installed. QuickTimeCheck is integrated into Internet Explorer and when visiting a web page that embedds a QuickTime video or audio file it will automatically attempt to load the QuickTime plugin.
