NVIDIA Settings Update Manager is the software updater program which runs in the background of Windows and automatically starts up when your PC boots. It checks for software udpates and automatically downloads and installs them if found.

daemonu.exe runs as a service under the name NVIDIA Update Service Daemon (nvUpdatusService) within the local user context. It has been configured with a firewall exception which allows both inbound and outbound network communication without being blocked.
