DVDFab for the playback, decryption and copying of video DVD-Videos, Blu-ray Discs, and some HD DVDs. DVDFab is a shareware DVD ripper and burner, capable of extracting a full disc, a single title, etc. from a DVD or Blu-ray. Extractions can be made to a hard disk or burned onto an optical disc. It is capable of decrypting copy-protection schemes that otherwise would prevent copying of the content.

dvdfab.exe executes as a process with the local user's privileges. It configures an autoplay handler withing explorer.exe named DVDFab5OnDVDArrival that will launch the program automatically. The file is digitally signed by Fengtao Software Inc. which was issued by the GlobalSign nv-sa certificate authority (CA).
