The Java Update is a feature that keeps your computer up-to-date automatically with the latest Java releases. Installing the Java Runtime Environment automatically installs the Java Update feature. The Java Update feature connects to java.com at a scheduled time and checks to see if there is an update available. Whenever there is an update available, a tool tip balloon appears. After the download is complete, a tooltip balloon notifies you that the update is ready for installation.

jusched.exe executes as a process with the local user's privileges. It is set to be start when the PC boots and any user logs into Windows (added to the Run registry key for the all users under the local machine). The file is digitally signed by Oracle America which was issued by the VeriSign certificate authority (CA).
