What is mpc-hc.exe?
Media Player Classic (MPC) is a compact media player for 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft Windows. The application mimics the look and feel of the old, lightweight Windows Media Player 6.4 but integrates most options and features found in modern media players. It and its forks are standard media players in the K-Lite Codec Pack and the Combined Community Codec Pack.
Overview
mpc-hc.exe executes as a process with the local user's privileges. It configures an autoplay handler withing explorer.exe named MPCPlayBluRayOnArrival that will launch the program automatically. It is installed with a couple of know programs including MPC-HC 1.6.8 (64-bit) published by MPC-HC Team, MPC-HC 1.7.0 (64-bit) from MPC-HC Team and MPC-HC 1.7.0 (64-bit) by MPC-HC Team.
