Scan To PC Activation App part of HP’s Digital Imaging utilities are bundled with many HP printer drivers as well as various HP printers, scanners and digital cameras. The utility adds functionality to HP devices from managing settings to instantly activating the device from Windows.
Overview
scantopcactivationapp.exe executes as a process with the local user's privileges usually within the context of Windows Explorer. It is set to be run when the PC boots and the user logs into Windows (added to the Run registry key for the current user). This is typically installed with the program HP Driver Diagnostics published by Hewlett-Packard.
