What is SOHDms.exe?
VAIO Media plus Digital Media Server for the Sony Home Network Library is part of the VAIO Entertainment framework, software that enables the delivery and viewing of content (music, photos, videos and TV) among devices connected to a home network. The software is pre-installed with most VAIO PCs.
Overview
sohdms.exe runs as a service under the name Sony Digital Media Server (SOHDms) within the local user context. It is an auto-starting process that used the Windows Task Scheduler service to load when the user logs into Windows (sometimes this is required to bypass the UAC protection). It is installed with a couple of know programs including VAIO Media Server Settings published by Sony Corporation and VAIO Media Server Settings published by Sony Corporation.
